Every life is worth living and every life is worth recording. This is what my father taught me. Growing up I remember the way he used to take pictures of us on every occasion. I often grew impatient and wondered why he did this. As the years passed I have begun to do the same. I understand now that a picture is worth a thousand words. Photographs capture and record life’s greatest memories so that we can re-live them as years go by.

I am ever so grateful to the digital camera and computer I own. I enjoy transferring the photographs I have to the PC and redoing them with captions etc and printing them out for my scrapbook of life. Years have slipped since my father was the photographer of our family, the endless photographs he took are now safely edited and in my little scrapbook.

These provide my own children with endless hours of amusement and offer our family a way to reflect on the simple things that meant so much to us. I always carry a camera with me wherever I go and our family scrapbook not only gives me great pleasure while I fill it with memories but will undoubtedly be a treasure to the generations ahead.
